Principal's Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Principal of Eastfield Academy and I warmly welcome you to our school. My goal is to ensure all children who attend our school are happy, show respect to others and themselves and that we provide all the necessary opportunities to ensure children are the best they can be both academically and as part of a wider society. We are a school with a real sense of community and believe that in the HEART ethos - that as a school we Harmoniously Everyone Achieves Results Together.

At Eastfield Academy we are committed to creating an inclusive culture where all children will be challenged in their thinking to achieve the best of their abilities and are enthusiastic to become lifelong learners. We strive to provide all our children with a world class education. Our curriculum is carefully sequenced and knowledge-rich which inspires our children and promotes excellent outcomes for all.

The needs of our children are always paramount in the decision making within our school. I strongly believe in providing our children with exciting, creative and meaningful learning experiences, which build their enthusiasm for learning and help them to grow and develop positively in a variety of ways. As part of the David Ross Education Trust, we offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including a wealth of music, art and sporting experiences. These experiences encourage our children to be confident, well-rounded and motivated.

Eastfield Academy really is the heart of the community: children, families, staff, site caretakers, volunteers and everyone else that makes Eastfield such a special place. Children and families really are at the heart of everything we do and that is what makes our school so unique. It goes beyond the work that teachers do to help children learn in lessons to how everyone in the community helps develop our children into model citizens and prepares them for the world beyond school.

We are very proud of our diverse school community and ensure that all pupils feel valued and respected. We have high expectations of behaviours and attitudes towards learning and these are reinforced in our six ‘Golden Expectations’.  

We are lucky here at Eastfield Academy, where we have a hugely committed and talented staff team, as well as wonderful children. At Eastfield we strongly value the relationship we have with our parents and recognise that effective partnerships are essential. We also have links with various members of our community and encourage our pupils to be respectful to all members of society.
