Academy Information

Eastfield Academy is part of the David Ross Education Trust. We are a school that is at the heart of the community. We have the highest expectations of behaviour, aspiration and pupil ambition giving all the opportunity to succeed.

Eastfield is a single form primary school with nursery provision.

The school provides a continuous knowledge based learning journey for children from two to eleven years old and responds to developing and changing needs as pupils move through the school.

As a result of our high expectations, our children make good progress from their starting points and achieve well both academically, socially and emotionally. Leaving our school fully prepared for their next steps in education and life.

We deliver a curriculum based on important substantive and disciplinary knowledge in literacy, numeracy and technology, to provide the secure foundation for learning in a wide range of situations, whilst also developing children’s creative thinking.  We strive to make learning interesting and fun; our children enjoy school and have a real enthusiasm for learning. We pride ourselves on our wider offer to pupils and the experiences that we can provide to support their development.

We believe that every child has the right to have...

  • An education that meets their needs and interests
  • Achieve success across the curriculum and all aspects of school life and have this celebrated
  • A safe, happy and stimulating environment that they can flourish and thrive
  • The opportunity to develop their own mind and opinions and articulate these confidently
  • Community and Family support beyond the classroom
  • Involvement in the wider community
  • Encouragement and support to become an individual and confident learner
  • Obtain the life skills they will need to succeed in further education and beyond
  • Be part of a happy and caring school where the pupils are keen to learn, are offered a variety of experiences and everyone is valued
  • Positive, respectful relationships with staff and other pupils to enhance their achievement and to help promote our school in the local community
  • The chance to embrace new initiatives to help establish creative, active, and positive learning experiences.
  • To become an active part in the school development through participation in school groups and communities
  • Have security, stability and success for all our pupils
